As we move into the fall and new school year, we have some exciting programs we will be offering to enrich local D41 students. Please explore our programs below and consider getting involved or becoming a support of our mission!

Dolly Parton Imagination Library
for D41 Kids Ages 0-5
The Dolly Parton Imagination Library is our affiliate program that puts books into the hands and hearts of children under the age of 5 who reside within the boundaries of Glen Ellyn School District 41. Specially-selected, age-appropriate, high-quality books are delivered to registered children each month. The books are personalized with the child’s name, and mailed directly to the child to create a gifting experience that makes books exciting. By surrounding children with books at an early age, the research shows that children develop a positive attitude about reading, expand emerging literacy skills, and are more equipped with literacy readiness when they enter kindergarten.
Amazingly, the yearly cost for a child is only $29. That’s correct! It costs only $29 to covers the yearly cost of mailing 12 books to a child! There is no charge to the families, and all costs are covered by the D41 Kids Foundation, thanks to the generosity of people like you!!

Supplies 4 Success
Ensuring every child starts the school year supplied
This program provides school supplies for children in need within our community. With 20.5% of District 41’s 3,500 students qualifying as low-income, Supplies for Success aims to level the playing field. By offering a Supplies 4 Success Kit, complete with an assembled school supply kit and backpack, we ensure that every child starts the school year on the right foot, paving the way for educational success and a brighter future for the Glen Ellyn area.
Winter Outerwear
Keep students healthy, safe, and warm through chilly winters
Winter Outerwear is dedicated to providing winter outerwear for children whose families may struggle to afford proper cold-weather gear. Every year, we witness numerous families in our community unable to purchase coats, snow pants, boots, gloves, and hats for their children. Winter Outerwear aims to keep hundreds of students healthy, safe, and warm throughout the challenging Midwestern winters by distributing essential winter attire. District 41 Families Assistance Program
Responding to the immediate needs of our D41 families
This program responds to the immediate needs of our District 41 families. Through close communication with representatives in each school, D41 Kids Foundation is ready to provide financial support to families in crisis.
Summer Theatre
Registration Opens in the Spring
Summer Theatre is for all children in K-8th grades. Children will learn acting, singing, dancing, and teamwork. Most of all, kids will have FUN! Our first two musicals were The Lion King in 2022 and Moana Jr. in 2023. They were a tremendous success, raising significant funds to enrich local students. We have the honor of working with local director Gina Wood.
